Z-CAD Beta Privacy Policy

Effective Date: October 9, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Z-Polymers, Inc. ("Z-Polymers," "we," "us," or "our") handles personal information in connection with the Z-CAD beta program, including the Z-CAD website (z-cad.com), account services, web application, and desktop application (the "Services"). It applies to invited beta participants and visitors to the Z-CAD website, and it supplements the Z-CAD Beta Terms of Use and End User License Agreement. A production privacy policy will replace this one when Z-CAD is released generally.

1. Your CAD Files and Geometry

Z-CAD is designed to process your CAD models and project geometry on your own device. Through the supported web and desktop workflows, Z-Polymers does not intentionally collect your imported CAD geometry, generated reinforcement geometry, or project contents. Your models, projects, exports, and local recovery files stay on your device unless you choose to send them, for example by attaching them to a support request or sending them through another service.

Please do not include confidential model information in feedback or support messages unless it is necessary and you are authorized to share it. If we add a feature that sends your geometry to us, we will disclose it clearly and obtain any consent required by law before the feature processes your geometry.

2. Information We Collect

3. How We Use Information

We use information to operate, authenticate, and license Z-CAD; administer the beta; secure accounts and detect abuse; provide support and respond to feedback; understand reliability and feature use and improve Z-CAD; send operational, security, and legal messages; send marketing messages only if you have opted in; and comply with law and protect our legal rights.

4. How We Share Information

We share personal information with service providers that help us operate the Services, such as identity and authentication providers (including Clerk), hosting, database, and infrastructure providers, email providers, security providers, and professional advisers. They may use it only to provide services to us. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process, protect rights, safety, and security, investigate fraud or abuse, or in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of the Z-CAD business.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We do not use your CAD geometry for advertising or to train models.

5. Cookies and Local Storage

We use cookies and similar browser or desktop storage that are needed to keep you signed in, protect your account, remember preferences, and operate Z-CAD. We do not use advertising cookies or trackers.

6. Retention

We keep account, licensing, acceptance, usage, feedback, support, and security records while your account or the beta is active and afterward for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes in this policy, including to resolve disputes, enforce agreements, comply with law, and keep business records. We may delete beta account data after the beta ends. Local files on your device are controlled by you.

7. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards that we consider appropriate to the nature of the information we handle. No system is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and devices and for telling us if you believe your account has been compromised. If we become aware of a breach of security affecting your personal information, we will notify you and regulators as required by applicable law.

8. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you; access, correct, or delete it; get a copy; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; and appeal our decision on a request. To make a request, email info@z-polymers.com. We may need to verify your identity, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our response. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you may also complain to your local data protection authority. We may keep some information where the law requires or permits, such as for security or recordkeeping.

You can withdraw marketing consent at any time using an unsubscribe link or by contacting us, without losing access to Z-CAD.

9. International Users

Z-Polymers is based in the United States. If you use the Services from another country, your personal information may be processed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate.

10. Children

The Services are intended for professional, educational, research, and manufacturing users and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us.

11. Third-Party Services

The Z-CAD website or documentation may link to third-party websites or services, such as slicers or hardware providers. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as Z-CAD, our service providers, or legal requirements change, and we will show the effective date. If a change materially affects how we handle personal information, we will notify you by email or within the Services. Nothing in this policy creates a warranty or expands the Z-CAD Beta Terms of Use and End User License Agreement, and Z-Polymers' liability is governed by those terms to the extent permitted by law.
